Welcome to the Grade
10 English Program at Dr. Denison Secondary School.
The courses offered at the
grade 10 level provide pathways for students into the specific
streams of University, College and Workplace programs in grade
11 and 12. Special care should be taken in the selection of
the appropriate grade 10 program.
The links at the left of this page will provide information
about Evaluation, Style and Structure expectations and the
content of our Units of Study. In addition, online tutorials
and links to supplementary resources have been provided to
support the student at school and at home. Exemplars for assignments
and links to copies of the major assignments and assessment
tools are also provided.
Evaluation
All categories of the Achievement
Chart (Knowledge and Understanding; Thinking
and Inquiry; Communication and Application) are evenly weighted
for each component of the course evaluation
