This course will examine
the ways in which theatre may be used as an instrument of
social change and as a facilitator of communication and understanding.
This course will focus on the following areas of study:

You will be required to
keep a Response Journal, which may include
creative ideas, observations, feelings, dreams, sketches,
designs, reviews, sculpture ... impressions relating to in-class
and out-of-class experiences. The purpose of this portfolio
is to make you more aware of your own ideas, reactions and
feelings.
You will be required to
complete at least one Play Review based on
the performance of live theatre. Preferably this review will
be of a performance at the Canadian
Stage Company.
NOTE:
This senior level drama
class requires a full commitment to attendance and punctuality.
You will be required to do an enormous amount of performance
and group work. Be responsible to yourself and your peers.
