Welcome to ENG3U:
The ENG3U course is designed to help prepare you for the academic challenges and demands of post-secondary education. The emphasis is on improving your writing skills, your analytical skills, and your ability to work both independently and co-operatively.
Our course has two major sections. In the first half of the course, we will focus on the history of poetry and literature from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era. In the second half of the course, we make a shift to the genres of gothic and science fiction. In both halves of the course, you will be asked to write an in-class essay, participate in group presentations, and complete tests and journals. You will find information for these Units of Study by clicking on the buttons to the left of this page.
