This English course extends
the range of key reading, writing, oral communication, and
thinking skills that students need for success in all areas
of the curriculum. Students will study many forms of literature
and will design and produce effective media works. An important
focus will be the clear and coherent use of spoken and written
language. The main theme of the course is "character
matters" with a focus on the challenge of making positive
decisions. The six units which are the focus of the course
are to the left of this page.

Evaluation of the Grade

effort, homework, work habits, initiative and teamwork. Both
areas will be evaluated for each unit of study and both will
be reflected separately on the midterm and final report cards.
