Course Outline:
This course has been divided
into four units. The dominant theme of this course involves
"The Individual in Society". Our relationship with
others, ourselves, our families and our environment will be
explored through a range of fiction and non-fiction texts.
Course Evaluation:
All work is assessed using
the four categories of the Achievement Chart: Knowledge, Thinking,
Communication and Application. Marks for individual assessment
pieces will be reported using these categories. Marks will
be weighted as shown below:
- Course Work (70%)
- Writing (30%)
- Performance Tests & Tasks (40%)
- Final Assessment (30%)
- I.S.U. (15%)
- Final Exam (15%)
