Our Initiatives Recycling
The Eco-Ethical group leads Dr. Denison's
student run recycling program. Every Tuesday and Friday students from
each class bring down the recycling to the caretakers office to show that
Denison cares about the planet. Without the cooperation of the students
at Dr. Denison, there would not be enough caretaking staff to organize
a recycling program and therefore the amount of waste produced by our
school would increase drastically.
OTESHA
Many members of Denison's Eco-Ethical Group
are professionally trained to deliver the OTESHA skit. This is a skit
that focuses on our morning choices and the simple things that we can
do to make the world a better place. The OTESHA skit has 6 scenes focusing
on water, clothing, food, media, coffee and transportation. We present
OTESHA for a number of different audiences including elementary students,
high school students, and CEO's of large companies. If you are interested
in having us present to a group of people please contact our staff advisor
Christine Crawford at 905-836-0021 ext. 204. For more information on the
OTESHA skit please visit www.otesha.ca.
