Canadian & World Issues
(grade 12 University)

 

This course draws upon geographical concepts, skills, methods and technologies to analyze significant issues facing Canadians as citizens of an interdependent world. We will examine the challenges of creating a sustainable and equitable future through the study of a wide range of issues, including population, geopolitical conflict, terrorism, health, food, quality of life and the environment. Canadian and World Issues encompasses all the curriculum expectations as required. The assessment and evaluation follows the achievement chart which includes the four categories - Knowledge/Understanding, Thinking/Enquiry, Communication and Application.
