Canadian Geography
(Grade 9 Applied)
Canada is a great place to live and work. It has a very diverse geography,
is a world leader internationally, and home to abundant resources -
both human and physical. We should be proud to be Canadian.







The course will improve your
knowledge and understanding of Canada, and explore everyday experiences
and events that are presently shaping our geography. Canada is too
big to study in one course. Your teacher can give you only a sketch
map of our geography. It's up to you to fill in the details through
geographic inquiry and investigations. A variety of tools will be
used to gather, organize, and analyze data.







Geography is fun if we take on the challenge to think and listen to insrtuctions carefully. You will be encouraged to ask the question why, use your prior knowledge of Canada and work with others to make informed judgements about social and environmental issues.
A study of Geography can help you develop the skills that will make you successful wherever information and creativity are valued.
