Students identified, described, researched and presented the impact that the cultures or countries of the world have had on the ethnic, social, commercial and technological fabric of the city of Toronto. They worked in small groups (2-6 people) and used their time in the city to make observations and collect information on a topic of their choosing. Upon return they had class time to organize and evaluate these raw materials and synthesize their final report.
Topics Included: restaurants, sports and recreation, fashion apparel, automobile industry, religion and ethnic heritage, architecture, finance and banking, retail businesses (jewellery, furniture...), music, professional services (law, medical...), technology (computers, engineering...) & food markets.
