MUSIC HISTORY RESEARCH PROJECT
ASSIGNMENT:
In groups, you will research one of the periods in
music history. You will cover the variety of aspects within that
period, such as what was happening politically and socially.
As well, each student is responsible for
researching one composer, and one of his/her major compositions
in which he/she will analyze the elements of music specific to the
period being studied.
OUTLINE:
A) Research
· Each student will take point form notes about a period in music history.
· Each student will take point form notes on a composer from their specific period.
B) Presentation
· Each student is responsible for presenting some information about the period being studied, which should be equal in length.
· Each student will present his/her information about the composer and composition researched
· Audio/Visual aids and creativity should be used to make the presentation interesting for the audience!
