Weather Phenomenon: Research and Presentation Assignment

 

The objectives of this assignment are:

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Based on the criteria provided, locate and record relevant information (1 Resource Centre period provided)
  2. Organize the information into a format suitable for a 5 minute oral presentation (including appropriate visual aids)

 

Criteria for research / presentation content:

 

·        Explain the physical / meterological nature of the weather (i.e. wind types / speeds / patterns; air mass type; temperatures; moisture content; etc.) in such a way that your audience knows where, how, why, when the weather forms

o       A minimum of 5 specific / different concepts from class content must be appropriately applied during the presentation

·        Summarize the impact of this phenomenon on both the environment / abiotic and biotic (including man) by providing 5 specific examples, statistical facts, recorded events, etc.
