Mr. Bisbee's Grade 9 Boys'Class
Welcome Students and Parents to Dr. Denison S.S. and the Physical Education Department.
Our program promotes healthy active living and the enjoyment of regular participation in physical activity.  The course will include various indoor and outdoor activities, weight training, movement, interactive games  as well as a Healthy Living component. The students will also be given a First Aid / CPR experience.

Students will be required to wear a complete Denison Phys. Ed. uniform during activity classes and bring a health binder to Health classes.  There will be some additional costs for Guest Instructors, Field Trips, etc... and the costs will not exceed $50. Included in these possible costs is a trip to Mt. St. Louis / Moonstone which the students can participate in. This will take place on March 11.

The students will receive regular written tests on the units covered during the course.  There will also be a large test at the end of each of the Health units.   In order to save trees and printing costs, the students can look at the notes for the units by clicking Course Book under My Info...

Pay attention to this web page for updates as well as lesson and course content information.

From the Denison Phys. Ed. homepage you will be able to download and print off permission forms, handouts, and summative evaluations.

Units are often organized in 10 day blocks.  This organization allows us proper gymnasium and facility use.  Health units will be completed in Rm. 141.

The units are as follows:
Unit 1:  Basketball
Fitness Appraisal and Goal Setting 1
Unit 2:  Volleyball
Unit 3:  Health 1
